What is dual credit?

Qualifying students can earn two high school credits (one for each semester) at Huntington North for taking Computer Science I and three college credit hours for CS 114 at Purdue Fort Wayne.

Who qualifies for dual credit?

Students with a GPA of 3.00 (on a 4.00 scale) or higher who have taken or are currently enrolled in Algebra II simultaneously with Computer Science I can take this class for dual credit with Purdue Fort Wayne.

What is the cost?

The Indiana Department of Education considers computer science to be a priority dual credit class. That means the tuition cost is $25.00 per credit hour, which is $75.00 for this class.

How do students sign up for dual credit?

Students should talk to their guidance counselors when they sign up for this class in the spring. In May, Mrs. Willour will meet with dual credit students to get them registered. Students will also have an opportunity to register for dual credit in the first two to three weeks of this class in August.
